    Тема данной работы - основные направления улучшения системы государственной поддержки и развития малого и среднего предпринимательства. В работе рассматриваются различные подходы и меры, которые могут быть применены государством для поддержки малых и средних предприятий. Первым направлением является создание более благоприятного правового и институционального окружения для малого и среднего бизнеса, которое включает в себя упрощение процедур регистрации и ликвидации предприятий, уменьшение административной нагрузки на бизнес, улучшение качества государственных услуг и увеличение доступности финансовых ресурсов. Второе направление - это поддержка развития инфраструктуры для малых и средних предприятий, включая создание и развитие бизнес-инкубаторов, технопарков, кластеров и других организаций, которые могут предоставлять бизнесу необходимые услуги и ресурсы. Третье направление - это развитие квалифицированной рабочей силы для малого и среднего бизнеса, через поддержку образования и профессионального обучения, а также повышение уровня компетенции и квалификации предпринимателей. Наконец, последнее направление - это поддержка экспортной деятельности малых и средних предприятий, включая создание условий для развития экспортных потенциалов, поддержку международного сотрудничества и укрепление имиджа страны на международной арене. Таким образом, в работе рассмотрены основные направления улучшения системы государственной поддержки и развития малого и среднего предпринимательства, которые могут повысить конкурентоспособность бизнеса, способствовать устойчивому развитию экономики и улучшению благосостояния населения.

    Over the past two decades, the world economy has become increasingly integrated as flows of goods, labor, and capital across countries have expanded rapidly. The developed, the developing or even the transitional countries are all drifting with this trend unexceptionally. Although there is a general belief that globalization has important long-term benefits through its impacts on growth and productivity, it is not practically as global as it may look; some countries are more globalized than others. Such tendencies indicate that within the time span of a single generation, the economies that take more active part in globalization managed to double their real income per head.

    Assessment of investments in technology and innovation

    This dissertation aims to analyze and compare methods for assessing investments in technology and innovation, considering the challenges of a dynamic and uncertain business environment. By examining the impact of these investments on competitiveness and profit growth, the study provides insights to enhance decision-making accuracy and identifies factors influencing the choice of investment assessment methods. Through -qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews with CFOs of Kazakhstani companies, the study investigates the use of real options and traditional methods, highlighting the barriers and proposing strategies for increasing adoption. The findings contribute to the field by endorsing financial techniques tailored to the unique characteristics of technology and innovation investments, promoting informed resource allocation and_ better management of risks in a changing market.

    From Regional Integration to Soft Institutionalism: What Kind of Regionalism for Central Asia?

    The first term of Shavkat Mirziyoyev as president of Uzbekistan, has opened the country to higher levels of cooperation with its neighbours. Mirzoyev’s proactive position towards strengthening cooperation in Central Asia and support of other regional states has since 2017 attracted the interest of scholars to the dynamics of regionalization in Central Asia. The consultative meetings among CA leaders, cooperation among their governments’ strategic think tanks, and official discussions on mutual visa recognition between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are all evidence of increased collaboration in the region. Experts and journalists in the region have started to talk about regional integration in Central Asia and the possibilities for establishing a regional organization. Although the progress in cooperation has been significant, we argue that it’s not feasible and not necessary to create regional organizations at this stage, and suggest soft institutionalism as a possible way of strengthening relations in CA. Two main research questions addressed in this paper are: (1) Why do we need a new debate on Central Asian regionalism? (2) What kind of regionalism project is viable for CA?

    Improvement of project management processes to ease strategy execution in metallurgical company

    This thesis project aims to improve project management processes to facilitate strategy implementation in the case of a metallurgical company , a technology company based in Kazakhstan. The goal of the project is to identify weaknesses in existing project management processes and propose improvements to create a more structured and effective management approach. The project includes an analysis of current project management processes, as well as a survey among the company's employees. Based on the findings, the proposed improvements include the introduction of a more robust management system for efficiency and goal achievement.The thesis was implemented over several months and it was found to have beneficial effects on the organization from the project increasing the efficiency of the project and providing greater transparency and control over project activities.Overall, this thesis demonstrates the importance of effective project management in achieving organizational goals and highlights the benefits of investing in the skills and capabilities of project managers. The project provides valuable information about the process of improving project management processes to facilitate strategy implementation, which may be useful to other organizations seeking to expand their project management capabilities.

    Determinants of employee engagement and their effect on employee performance

    This study investigates the impact of transformational leadership on employee engagement and performance in second-tier banks in East Kazakhstan. Guided by research questions on how transformational leadership affects employee engagement and performance, and the mediating role of engagement. Data from 36 valid observations were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that transformational leadership significantly enhances employee engagement, and higher employee engagement improves performance. Unexpectedly, transformational leadership has a negative direct effect on performance. Employee engagement fully mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and performance. This study contributes to the literature by elucidating the complex relationships between leadership, engagement, and performance, and offers practical insights for improving leadership practices in banks. Future research should explore larger, more diverse samples and other contextual factor.

    Islamic investment products: features and development prospects

    Over the past few years, there has been considerable instability in the financial sector, which has had the capacity to negatively impact other areas of the economy, such as production and services. Economists have increasingly embraced the terms Islamic finance, Islamic banking, and Islamic economics. This dissertation research aims to provide both theoretical and practical guidance for the integration and advancement of Islamic investment products within the banking practices of Kazakhstan. The main objectives of this study are to examine the necessary conditions for the progress of the Islamic economic model, compare traditional and Islamic investment products, examine international practices in utilizing Islamic investment products, propose implementation strategies specific to Kazakhstan, and suggest approaches to enhance the legislative framework for incorporating Islamic banking principles. The research employs a range of commonly used scientific methods, including analysis, synthesis, classification, induction, deduction, and comparison. The research aims to identify crucial elements that could facilitate the effective adoption of Islamic banking and investment products. These factors encompass the potential for diversifying capital sources, the existence of demand for Islamic banking products driven by the national composition of the population, the necessity of reinforcing the investment focus of lending practices, and the opportunity to leverage practical experience to adapt traditional banking products in alignment with Islamic banking principles.
