THE IMPACT OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING ON STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING: A COMPREHENSIVE LITERATURE REVIEW
(SDU University, 2025) Laura Lyadova; Kulakhmetova Mergul
This literature review explores the level of motivation when introducing Project-Based Learning (PBL) in the mainstream classes of the foreign language. A particular attention is given to its application in language education, highlighting benefits and possible challenges. This review synthesizes findings from various research studies that highlight the benefits of PBL, including increased engagement, deeper conceptual understanding, and faster language retention. Despite the fact that PBL stimulates students to acquire a foreign language, there are some challenges, such as the need for additional guidance, lack of teacher training and assessment techniques. Although the review highlights the exceeding advantages of PBL over traditional teaching methods, it also emphasizes the positive application of balanced approach for improving academic excellence of students. Moreover, the literature review takes into considerations the essence of cultural factor and suggest longitudinal application of PBL for identification of long-term effects on students’ motivation to learn a foreign language. The review provides a foundation for further empirical research on integrating PBL into educational curricula and offer essential insights into its best practices in foreign language classrooms. To reach the assigned aim, the synthesized research articles have been taken from the following data bases, such as Google Scholar, Research Gate, JSTORE, and Web Science with prevailing number of them conducted between the period of 2018 and 2024.

DIRECTIONS FOR IMPROVING THE METHODOLOGICAL TRAINING OF FUTURE MATHEMATICS TEACHERS FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF PROJECT ACTIVITIES OF STUDENTS
    (СДУ хабаршысы - 2021, 2021) A.A. Toktorbekova
Abstract. This article describes the goals of the methodological training of future mathematics teachers at a pedagogical university (scientific and methodological knowledge, scientific and methodological and organizational and methodological skills), the structural components of their methodological training (methodological special courses, final qualification and coursework, pedagogical and educational practice). Determination of the essential characteristics of the readiness of mathematics teachers to organize the project activities of students made it possible to outline the ways of developing the necessary professional qualities in order to prepare the future specialist for a rational, creative solution of didactic problems of teaching mathematics using the project method. On the basis of this, in this article, the directions of improving the methodological training of future mathematics teachers for the organization of project activities of students are determined and substantiated.

ORGANIZING AND OPTIMIZING DATA EXCHANGE IN UNIVERSITY
    (СДУ хабаршысы - 2021, 2021) A. Tugelbayev; A. Zhamanov
Abstract. Currently online education at universities developing exponentially. There are many possible solutions for teachers and students to share materials, assignments, etc. Universities are increasingly using e-learning portals that match their requirements. But the exchange of information in some situations, there are big problems between teachers and students. Also various information from different sources lose their value in huge data. According to this information, our goals (1) Organize study materials for quick access (2) Optimize your e-Learning portal and make it user-friendly (3) Reduce page load speed to make the portal faster. This article describes how many widely used possible solutions exist today and compares them to ours to get an objective perspective.

EFFECTIVENESS OF USING TRADITIONAL AND MODERN METHODS IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE
    (СДУ хабаршысы - 2019, 2019) I.I. Sagdullaev; R.K. Abdi
Abstract. In recent years, modern method of language teaching is widely used by many teachers in schools, colleges, lyceums, language centres and universities. However, we also cannot set aside the traditional method of language teaching, as, it also has number of advantages, despite disadvantages. In this article we decided to illustrate the advantages and disadvantages of Traditional and Modern methods in language teaching. First, we give definition to both methods and then compare them with each other. Development of metacognitive skill in teaching mathematics
(2020 International Young Scholars Workshop, 2020) Yernazar A.
Abstract. The study of metacognitive processes in the context of training and education is currently undoubtedly a priority in metacognitive psychology as a whole. The importance of this group of studies is due in many respects to the large representation of the class of processes in question in educational activities. At the same time, work in this area is not limited to a sample of primary school children, as this has been a significant amount of time. In recent years, the inclusion of the category of metacognition in education affects the educational activities of senior students, graduate students, and generally people involved in continuing education. The study described in this article aims at investigating the relation between the development of metacognition skills and success in learning algebraic identity formulas among middle school students. It uses a quantitative approach. Participants are about 50 students of 7th grade from Oral Bilim Innovation Liceum in Kazakhstan and are divided into two groups, namely experimental and control group. The data is collected by taking a pre-test and post-test from both classes. The diagnostic test is constructed by the researcher and confirmed by university professors. During the research students in the experimental group are familiarized with the concept of metacognition and its strategies such as thinking aloud, self-questioning, reflection and active learning strategies by applying them to solve problems with identity formulas. Finally, the data will be analyzed with ttest and much deeper conclusion will be drawn about the development of metacognitive strategies among students in teaching mathematics.

    EFL Teachers’ Perceptions of Linguo-coaching
    (2024) Palmanova A.
The purpose of this study is to explore EFL teachers’ perceptions of linguo-coaching as an approach to teaching adult learners in Kazakhstan, focusing on its advantages and challenges. The study involved 11 EFL teachers working at universities, private language schools, and as independent tutors. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews to gather in-depth insights into the participants’ experiences and reflections. Data were analyzed thematically to address the research questions. The findings indicate that linguo-coaching offers significant benefits, including enhanced learner autonomy, motivation, and personalized learning. Participants highlighted the effectiveness of tools such as the GROW Model and the language wheel in facilitating goal-setting and reflective practices, fostering self-directed learning among adult learners. However, challenges such as limited teacher training, institutional constraints, and resource limitations were also identified. Teachers emphasized the need for professional development programs to equip them with the competencies necessary for implementing linguo-coaching effectively. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on linguo-coaching by providing insights into its application in the EFL context of Kazakhstan. It highlights the potential of linguo-coaching to transform traditional language teaching methodologies while addressing barriers to its integration. The findings have implications for educators, policymakers, and researchers seeking to modernize language teaching practices. Future research could expand on this study by including learner perspectives and exploring the longterm impact of linguo-coaching on language proficiency.

SENTIMENT ANALYSIS OF UNIVERSITY FEEDBACK OPINION OF STUDENTS ABOUT AN EDUCATIONAL PART IN KAZAKH LANGUAGE USING MULTIBINOMIAL NAIVE BAYES CLASSIFIER
    (СДУ хабаршысы - 2019, 2019) A. Serek; M. Zhaparov
Abstract. In this paper, the system which identifies the sentiment, (aka meaning) of a kazakh phrase, (whether it is a positive, or a negative) have been implemented using MultiBinomial Naive Bayes Classifier and achieved accuracy approximately 71 % on the dataset about university feedback across students on its educational component in order to help administrative staff to evaluate the current state of education in the university and make some decisions on its basis. We consider it to be a good result, given that the data was small in size, so that there were only few collected samples. The importance of the work that we did not find any paper which performed sentiment analysis using MultiBinomial Naive Bayes classifier on an agglutinative language. It can be argued, that the model can be successfully generalized in other educational organizations pursuing the same cause as it was identified in the above-mentioned rationale. The limitation of the paper is that only one algorithm has been applied to it, and the dataset size is small.
