    ARTIFICIALLY INTELLIGENT CONVERSATIONAL CHATBOTS: MAIN TYPES, PROGRAMMING ISSUES, AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

    Abstract In recent years, artificially intelligent (AI) conversational chatbots have become widely used and proved to be a practical and effective support tool in many areas. Advances in machine learning and neural networks have made such proliferation of AI chatbots possible, yet there are still many programming issues and challenges in developing chatbots for various specific domains of human activity. This paper reviews types of artificially intelligent conversational chatbots and programming issues associated with each type. The following main types of chatbots are discussed: 1) script-based chatbots, 2) database-based chatbots, and 3) natural language processing-based chatbots. Key programming challenges in creating chatbots and existing solutions are reviewed.

    ENSEMBLE LEARNING ALGORITHMS IN PATTERN RECOGNITION TASKS

    Abstract. There has been growing interest in pattern recognition tasks in the last decade. This is determined by the prevalence of the problems that is being solved in recognizing images and characters, scene analysis, technical and medical diagnostics, signal identification, analysis of expert data, speech recognition, creation of expert and artificial intelligence systems. The article is devoted to the topic of collective decision-making models in automated intellectual systems. The application of such models for pattern recognition problems is being considered. What is meant by the term «collective recognition» is the task of using multiple classifiers, each of which will decide on the class of one entity with the subsequent coordination of their decisions with the help of a certain algorithm.

    Online Ordering Taxi on Android

    Nowadays people are very busy, stressful and always in an extremely active life. Sometimes they need relax, just sit and think about how life is wonderful. Also they need some service from another people, and to get agreement with someone when you are very tired is so difficult. This kind of problem makes you annoying. So I present decision of this issue by using mobile application Get a Taxi. This application locates the passenger's position automatically or can be set to pick-up from the user's favorite locations, e.g. work, home etc. The application then finds and orders the nearest available taxi and informs the user of the driver's name and ratings, and how much will cost distance.

    Аннотация. Статья посвящена основным аспектам разработки медицинских информационных систем. Статья будет полезна как архитекторам и разработчикам медицинских информационных систем (МИС), так и пользователям современных МИС. В статье выполнен обзор медицинских информационных систем и динамики их развития за 2005 - 2010 гг. Приводятся усредненные данные о выполненных инсталляциях, распределении разработок по технологиям и системам управления базами данных, по видам лечебно-профилактических учреждений и формам собственности. Авторами также выполнена и описана в данной статье общая оценка состояния рынка КМИС, дается прогноз его развития и отмечаются основные тенденции, сформировавшиеся за годы наблюдения.

    MapReduce Solutions Classification by Their Implementation

    Distributed Systems are widely used in industrial projects and scientific research. The Apache Hadoop environment, which works on the MapReduce paradigm, lost popularity because new, modern tools were developed. For example, Apache Spark is preferred in some cases since it uses RAM resources to hold intermediate calculations; therefore, it works faster and is easier to use. In order to take full advantage of it, users must think about the MapReduce concept. In this paper, a usual solution and MapReduce solution of ten problems were compared by their pseudocodes and categorized into five groups. According to these groups’ descriptions and pseudocodes, readers can get a concept of MapReduce without taking specific courses. This paper proposes a five-category classification methodology to help distributed-system users learn the MapReduce paradigm fast. The proposed methodology is illustrated with ten tasks. Furthermore, statistical analysis is carried out to test if the proposed classification methodology affects learner performance. The results of this study indicate that the proposed model outperforms the traditional approach with statistical significance, as evidenced by a p-value of less than 0.05. The policy implication is that educational institutions and organizations could adopt the proposed classification methodology to help learners and employees acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to use distributed systems effectively.

    Face extraction and recognition from public images using HIPI

    Social networking services with public data are widely used nowadays. Billions of images uploaded to the internet each day over the world. This paper proposes the idea of a system which is currently being developed. The system collects images from public sources by some specific criteria, applies face detection and recognition algorithms on collected images, and provides the results in readable form. The Apache Hadoop library is used to increase performance of the system, and images are downloaded by the help of HIPI library. For testing purposes Labeled Faces in the Wild benchmark is used as a database for images containing over 13233 images of 5749 identities. Each image is jpg format in 250*250 resolutions. Results were more than good after testing the system with this database for face detection and recognition.
