The impact of anxiety on examinations has been very closely studied for a long time. There is general acceptance that debilitative anxiety negatively impacts examination performance slightly and that it does so via an interference mechanism in which taskirrelevant thoughts undermine a student’s ability to recall previously learned material. Students write tests, which may consist of Multiple choice, Essay, True/False, Matching and Filling the gaps which depend on the preferences of teachers. Some tests cause high anxiety, some less anxiety. In this research we investigate the level of anxiety between junior and senior students in various written tests.
