This paper examines the importance of product quality control as a key factor in achieving competitiveness and sustainable growth in modern enterprises. The study highlights how quality determines customer satisfaction, company reputation, and long-term profitability. It reviews definitions of quality and presents three key aspects—designed, process, and achieved quality—emphasizing that high-quality outcomes depend on the effective interaction between design specifications and production processes. The paper also explores two primary approaches to control—traditional bureaucratic and decentralized control—analyzing their principles, mechanisms, and influence on employee behavior. Bureaucratic control relies on formal rules and procedures, whereas decentralized control is based on trust, empowerment, and shared organizational values. The study concludes that modern companies should combine these approaches, applying flexible quality management systems that ensure product consistency while fostering innovation and employee initiative.
