Item Open Access HANDWRITTEN OPTICAL CHARACTER RECOGNITION: IMPLEMENTATION FOR KAZAKH LANGUAGE(СДУ хабаршысы - 2021, 2021) Kalken M.Abstract. Many documents, including as invoices, taxes, memoranda, and surveys, historical data, and test replies, still require handwriting with the transformation to digital information interchange. Handwritten text recognition (HTR), which is an automatic approach to decode records using a computer, is required in this aspect. For this proposal, I present a study of the implementation of optical recognition algorithms for handwritten text in the Kazakh language, using a recently collected database. The database, called the Kazakh Autonomous Handwritten Text Dataset (KOHTD), contains more than 140,335 segmented images of handwritten exam papers. As an algorithm, I used the proposed model by Harald Scheidl, which consists of several layers of neural networks and an CTC decoder. The trained model by putting an interval of Ir = 0.01 and a batch size of 60 showed effective results with indicators of about 85% accuracy.Item Open Access SEGMENTATION OF OUTLETS USING MACHINE LEARNING CLUSTERING AND CLASSIFICATION ALGORITHMS(СДУ хабаршысы - 2019, 2019) Nurmambetov D. ; Bogdanchikov A.Abstract. Segmentation of retail outlets in terms of manufacturing companies’ strategy applied in sales amount and trade activities for each of them is very important. Directed investments into outlets help companies to make more profit and decrease expenses. This study presents a method which can be used for outlets clustering using unsupervised and supervised machine learning algorithms comprising 2 steps – data partition using unsupervised Gaussian Mixture (GM) Model clustering algorithm based on outlets sales amount and further partition for one of them using Logistic Regression (LR) and Neural Networks (NN) classification algorithms, which predict whether outlets will achieve monthly sales plan. Previously, clustering was made without any special methods and clusters were formed using some agreed threshold values for outlets sales amount. The proposed algorithm was tested on real sales data and formed 3 clusters according to business needs. The issue of secure connectivity is becoming increasingly common these days. Practically all encryption methods can be hacked, prompting the development of a data transport that is impenetrable. This scientific paper discussed the way of classic transmission of information and integration of quantum technologies into this network in order to increase the safety of the channel. This paper includes information about work done on research, such as learning principles of quantum cryptography technologies, basic logical gates and key terms such as superposition, entanglement and teleportation. An extensive archive of petabytes of data has been generated from modern information systems and digital technologies such as scientific data analysis, social data analysis, reference systems and Internet services journals. To investigate and extract knowledge from this enormous data much effort is needed. Due to this, Big Data Management Systems need to be integrated as part of the computing curriculum. In this article, we present examples of analysed tasks that can be processed as large data projects using Apache Hadoop, and it’s Map – Reduce, Apache Spark, Hive and Pig by demonstrating how each type of system can be integrated via sample datasets and data analysis tasks. Shaikenova; S. TulepovaAbstract. Academic writing in the English language must comply with certain rules and conventions accepted in the scientific communicative culture. Writers should be careful in expressing their statements and try to soften the claims to avoid being extremely categorical. One of the ways to achieve this is using hedging techniques. Therefore, teaching hedging strategy should become an obligatory aspect in the development of EFL (English as a foreign language) learners’ academic writing competence. The article presents definitions of hedging from different points of view, the importance of using this strategy and the diversity of hedging. The opportunities and potential limitations of out-of-school English language training are explored.Item Open Access THE SIGNIFICANCE OF WIPO-ADMINISTERED TREATIES FOR THE COPYRIGHT’S PROTECTION IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN(СДУ хабаршысы - 2019, 2019) Tulibayev S.Abstract. This article discusses the important role of the provisions of the conventions and treaties of the World Intellectual Property Organization in the field of copyright protection in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It presents the obligations imposed by the WIPO-administered treaties on the Republic of Kazakhstan, which were signed or ratified in order to develop national legislation and increase the level of legal protection of authors. The article explains the need for accession to WIPO conventions. The article considers the activities of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the provisions of the conventions, including the implementation of relevant meetings.
