Abstract
This research paper explores the assessment and evaluation of computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and the role of technology in modern education, particularly within the context of Kazakhstan. The study emphasizes the growing importance of integrating new technologies into the learning process and their potential to enhance language teaching efficiency. The theoretical part discusses the evolution of CALL, highlighting its three main stages: behavioristic, communicative, and integrative approaches. It also provides an overview of different technological platforms such as Web-based tools, CD-ROM applications, and computer-mediated communication (CMC), illustrating how each contributes to language learning. The practical part presents a program developed using Java Server Pages (JSP) technology aimed at facilitating teaching and learning foreign languages. The research concludes that while technology cannot replace teachers, its proper application significantly enriches the learning process, making it more interactive and effective.
