    Bu çalışma, Doğrudan Yöntem’in gerçek bir İngilizce dersinde nasıl uygulandığını ve neden etkili bir yaklaşım olduğunu açıklamaktadır. Geleneksel yöntemlerde olduğu gibi çeviri kullanılmaz; bunun yerine öğrencilerin dili doğrudan sınıf içinde kullanarak öğrenmeleri amaçlanır. Öğretmen, öğrencilerin ana diline başvurmadan, anlamı görseller, nesneler, örnekler ve sorular aracılığıyla anlatır. Yapılan sınıf gözlemi, öğrencilerin okuma, dinleme ve konuşma becerilerini doğal bir şekilde geliştirdiklerini göstermektedir. Öğrenciler harita ve coğrafya gibi günlük konular üzerinden yeni kelimeleri ve yapıları kullanarak iletişim kurarlar. Yöntem ayrıca doğru telaffuza ve aktif katılıma önem verir. Genel olarak, Doğrudan Yöntem öğrencilerin hedef dilde düşünmesini ve daha doğal iletişim kurmasını destekler.

    Using cartoons and comic strips in teaching a language

    Nowadays a lot of methods have been searched to be able to find out the better, easier and more beneficial, techniques and principles of teaching a language more effectively. In this article you can see one of these studies. Writer presents and discusses here 'Using Cartoons and Comics in teaching a language' to make it more sensible and concrete that we can have the sense of touch and we can apply practically he gives each step of appliance of the lesson and its principle he also uses methods of asking and answering the questions to make it be more understandable. As a result he mentions that they may not be used as main resource but at least supplementary materials to make the lessons more comfortable, profitable and less stressful.

    Techniques in Teaching Vocabulary in Beginner Classes

    This article explores the importance of vocabulary teaching in early English learning and presents practical techniques for effective vocabulary instruction. The author emphasizes that vocabulary knowledge plays a central role in communication and language fluency, yet it is often neglected in early education. The paper outlines several stages and methods, including the use of realia, visual aids, gestures, repetition, and communicative activities to make word learning meaningful. It also discusses the necessity of creating a sense of need for vocabulary among learners, encouraging active use through drawing, guessing games, and writing tasks. The article highlights that vocabulary learning should go beyond rote memorization, integrating context, emotion, and interaction to ensure long-term retention. The study concludes that teachers should adopt structured, student-centered approaches to vocabulary teaching to enhance learners’ motivation and communicative competence.

    THE ATTITUDES AND THOUGHTS OF STUDENTS TOWARDS TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ORIENTED FOREIGN LANGUAGE

    Profession is a type of work and ability that runs continuously and relies on certain knowledge and skills obtained throughout training, education and practical work experience. It is closely connected with education, interests, needs, and influences the personality, forms a mindset, worldview, and norms of behavior. Scientists believe that any person at a satisfactory level of any field can master any profession, but with different effort and time. The degree of conformity of qualities chosen profession has a significant impact on the productivity of its activities. That's why one person in one activity is disclosed more fully in the other, less. It is known that high professional competence involves not only knowledge, but also the continuous development of abilities and skills. Special themes and specific goals of the conversation encourage specialists to move to a professional language. Special literature in Economics has tens of thousands of terms. Most of these terms are known only to a narrow circle of specialists. It is known that the discipline "Professionally-oriented foreign language" is included in the mandatory component of the cycle of basic disciplines. In this article, we have tried to find out the role of professionally oriented foreign language in the students' future professional fields. We conducted a survey using questionnaires at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Suleyman Demirel University to find out and determine the attitudes and thoughts of students towards professionally oriented foreign language teaching. We have interviewed to two groups, consisting of 53 students. The results show that the majority of the students believe that professionally oriented foreign language is a very important and useful discipline for their future profession.
