Abstract
This study exomined the Relation of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices (selection, training compensation, and appraisal) with the Firm performance (operational perjornance and financial performance) of selected fins in Almary, Kazakhstan. Survey results from sampled respondents indicated that HR Practices were significandy related to operational performance of the firms. Further analysis also indicates that operational performance was significantly related to firms' financial performance. Implications are discussed and a model is proposed for understanding the relation berween firm Performance and HRM practices.
